P.E.S.T. Inc Attends Tennessee Pest Control Association Conference

As you may have seen from the pictures posted on our Facebook page, P.E.S.T., Inc. recently returned from the Tennessee Pest Control Association Conference, held in Sevierville, Tennessee. The two-day conference was full of information, association board membership news, guest speakers, and, of course we left room for fun!

We had the privilege of learning about the most recent research regarding the latest Environmental Protection Agency’s updates on rodenticides from Steve Sullivan of Bell Laboratories. Dr. Karen Vail from the University of Tennessee also provided information on the up-to-the-minute ant research. We even brushed up on the value of industry insurance.

In our general membership meeting, Andy had the opportunity to address the membership, thanking them for their support throughout the year as he served as the TPCA’s President. After honoring the Lifetime Achievement awards, Andy passed the gavel to the new President, Ken Richards Jr. of East Tennessee Pest Control. We congratulate him and know that he will serve the membership well!

Transparent’s Managing Partner, Jason Elkins, delivered the keynote speech at Thursday evening’s Bar-B-Que. His “7 Steps to Empowering Others Through Leadership in the New Economy” was timely and right on point!

It wasn’t all business, though! Between the golf and mini-golf tournaments, dessert reception, and a little Yant family fun in Gatlinburg, we had a wonderful couple of days in East Tennessee. Camren even mastered the waves on the surf machine at the water park We are already looking forward to next year!
