In a word, yes!!
It is no secret that home values are down and the real estate market isn’t what it once was. This is a difficult time to be a home owner, and you’ve likely heard horror stories of trying to sell a home these days! You have probably also discovered tips and tools to increase the value of your home, but have you T•A•P’ed your home yet?
That’s right – T∙A∙P – Thermal Acoustical Pest Control
T•A•P is two products in one – environmentally responsible insulation with incredible sound-deadening and thermal properties and an absolutely unique pest control method!
How does it work??
T•A•P is primarily composed on paper deflected from landfills. The paper is treated through a “disc-mill” and the result is an acoustically and thermally high-quality insulation. It is installed with specialized machines, and it can be applied on top of existing insulation or in walls and attics of new homes. This specialized insulation not only reducing energy bills but controls household pests that commonly nest in attic spaces like termites, silverfish, ants, and roaches.
Who wouldn’t want to provide a long-term, preventative pest control solution by protecting their home from the likely insects that cause expensive damage and lower monthly utilities bills due to energy savings?!
Is it safe??
Made from 80% recycled paper, T•A•P’s primary ingredients are borates. That means mineral salts that are in many consumer products you may already use like contact lens solution and anti-fungal creams. Although deadly to insects, these borates prove to be a very minimal risk to people. Also, unlike traditional pesticides, T•A•P is installed in attics and inside walls where humans have very limited exposure. (You can read more about borates here.)
Great! Where can I get it??
T•A•P can only be installed by certified pest control professionals, like P.E.S.T., Inc. Contact us for more information today!
